About the practitioner: Jodie
Jodie is a registered Chinese medicine practitioner. After more than 11 years of undergraduate and postgraduate training in Chengdu University of traditional Chinese medicine (CDU CDU), she obtained a bachelor's and a master's degree in traditional Chinese medicine and a PhD in acupuncture and moxibustion.
She worked at CDU TCM in China for nearly 20 years before becoming a registered acupuncturist and TCM practitioner in Victoria, BC.
She used to be a professor researcher at CDU TCM and a professor of acupuncture and moxibustion at CDU TCM Affiliated Hospital.
Clinically, she is good at combaining acupuncture and moxibustion treats common diseases in internal medicine, gynecology and pediatrics, and has unique curative effect on skin diseases.
Her research focuses on the effects of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine on improving the quality of life of cancer patients, especially breast cancer and liver cancer patients, reducing the side effects of chemotherapy and chemotherapy, and the epigenetic mechanism of acupuncture in adjusting the biological clock.
